India Sends Strong Message to Pakistan After Operation Sindoor

Earlier this week, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the Adampur Air Force Base in Punjab, where he met and interacted with Indian soldiers. This visit came just days after India’s major military action called Operation Sindoor — a powerful strike on terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK) in response to the deadly April 22 Pahalgam terror attack.
PM Modi on “Nuclear Blackmail”
During a national address after Operation Sindoor, PM Modi gave a strong message to Pakistan. He clearly said that India will not tolerate nuclear blackmail anymore. He introduced a new three-point security doctrine:
- Any terrorist attack on India will face a strong and bold reply.
- India will not be scared by nuclear threats and will strike back at terror bases with precision.
- India will now see terrorist leaders and the governments that protect them as one and the same.
PM Modi said, “Our intent is clear. If there’s another attack, India will respond.” He reminded the country about the Uri (2016) and Balakot (2019) strikes, and said that Operation Sindoor is now the “new normal”. He also thanked the armed forces for protecting the nation from both terror and Pakistan’s attacks. (Also read: Did Aamir Khan Use Operation Sindoor to Promote His Film? Internet Explodes)
Pakistan’s Failed Retaliation & Adampur Air Base
After Operation Sindoor, Pakistan tried to hit back. On the night of May 9 and 10, they attempted to target Indian air bases, including Adampur. They even falsely claimed that hypersonic missiles from their JF-17 jets had destroyed India’s S-400 air defence system — a claim strongly denied by Indian officials.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh’s Statement
On his visit to Srinagar’s 15 Corps Headquarters, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh reviewed the security situation and met with army soldiers. This was his first visit to Kashmir after Operation Sindoor. He also inspected the remains of Pakistani shells fired on Indian borders and paid tribute to the soldiers and civilians who lost their lives in the Pahalgam attack.
Calling Operation Sindoor a “historic and bold step”, Rajnath Singh said, “We will go to any length to stop terrorism. Pakistan must stop giving shelter to terrorists.”
He questioned Pakistan’s ability to safely handle nuclear weapons and said, “Is it safe to keep nuclear weapons in the hands of such an irresponsible and rogue country?” He appealed to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to place Pakistan’s nuclear weapons under global supervision.
Operation Sindoor: India’s Big Strike
Operation Sindoor was a large-scale military operation. India carried out 24 missile strikes in just 25 minutes, targeting nine locations in Pakistan and PoK. According to official sources, around 100 terrorists were killed. Unlike before, India focused on eliminating terror leadership, not just foot soldiers.
Ceasefire and Current Situation
Following the strike, tensions increased between India and Pakistan. India successfully blocked several drone and missile attacks in Jammu & Kashmir, Rajasthan, and Punjab. Pakistan called for a ceasefire by Sunday evening, but violated it soon after. However, since then, the border has remained largely calm.
