From IIT to Spirituality
In an interview with CNN News18, the IITian Baba, whose real name is Abhay Singh, shared his inspiring journey. The interviewer, impressed by his eloquence, remarked, “You sound educated.” To this, Baba replied, “I studied aerospace engineering at IIT Bombay,” surprising everyone with his academic background.
The Transition to a Spiritual Path
When asked about his shift from engineering to spirituality, Baba smiled and said, “Ye avastha toh sabse best avastha hai [This stage is the best stage].” He further explained, “If you keep pursuing knowledge, where do you reach? This is where you reach.”
A Quest for the Meaning of Life
Abhay Singh (IITian Baba), who hails from Haryana, shared that he spent four years studying aerospace engineering at IIT Bombay. Later, he pursued a Master’s in Design and took courses in philosophy to understand life’s deeper meaning. “Even during my engineering studies, I explored philosophy—Postmodernism, Socrates, Plato—to find the meaning of life,” he said.
