Saif Ali Khan Attacked at Home in Mumbai
Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was attacked at his residence in Bandra, Mumbai on Thursday, January 16, 2025. The incident took place at around 2:30 am when an intruder allegedly attempted a robbery. The attacker fled after a scuffle, leaving Saif with multiple stab wounds.
Injuries and Medical Treatment
Saif suffered six stab wounds: two minor, two medium and two deep, with one injury near his spine. Doctors at Lilavati Hospital said Saif underwent surgery to remove a piece of knife stuck in his spine. The stab wounds on his arm and neck were also treated. The medical team has confirmed that Saif is stable and out of danger, and is expected to make a full recovery.
Police Investigation Underway
The police are currently investigating the attack, although they have not confirmed whether it was an attempted robbery or not. They are questioning the staff who were working at the actor’s house recently. Three staff have already been questioned and a female staffer is reported to have been injured in the attack. Mamata Banerjee Expresses Concern
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee expressed concern over the attack and wished Saif Ali Khan a speedy recovery. She also expressed her support to Saif’s family, including his wife Kareena Kapoor and mother Sharmila Tagore, during this challenging time.
