NEET UG 2025 Exam Date Announced
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially announced the date for the NEET UG 2025 exam. It will be held on May 4, 2025, from 2 pm to 5 pm with a duration of three hours.

Application Process for NEET UG 2025
The application process for NEET UG 2025 is now open. Candidates can register for the exam on the official website, neet.nta.nic.in. The registration window will close on March 7, 2025, and the option to edit the application form will be available between March 9 and 11, 2025.
APAAR ID Not Mandatory for Registration
NTA has clarified that an APAAR ID is not required for the registration process for NEET 2025.
Exam Format and Structure
The NEET 2025 exam will be conducted in pen and paper mode. It will consist of 180 compulsory questions – 45 questions from Physics, 45 from Chemistry, and 90 from Biology. The exam will no longer have optional questions in Section B, as the temporary measure introduced during the COVID pandemic has been discontinued.
Eligibility for Various Courses
The NEET UG 2025 scores will be used for admissions to several undergraduate courses, including:
- BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery)
- BVSC (Bachelor of Veterinary Science)
- BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery)
- BUMS (Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery)
- BSMS (Bachelor of Siddha Medicine and Surgery)
- BHMS (Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery)
Additionally, NEET scores will also be used for admission to BSc Nursing courses under the Military Nursing Service (MNS) at Armed Forces Medical Service Hospitals.
Logistical Reasons for Pen and Paper Mode
Despite previous concerns about paper leaks, NTA has decided to continue with the pen and paper mode for NEET 2025 due to logistical reasons. This method ensures better management, especially after the issues faced during the first Central University Entrance Test (CUET), where technical glitches led to cancellations.

NEET 2025 will be available in 13 languages:

Result Declaration and Previous Year Dates
The results for NEET UG 2025 will be announced by June 14, 2025. In previous years, NEET UG was held on May 5, 2024, and May 7, 2023.
