DJ Aqeel Reflects on High-Profile Performances
DJ Aqeel, a prominent figure in the Indian music scene, recently shared insights about his performances at some of Bollywood’s most glamorous events. Among the most memorable was the lavish wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant.
The Grand Ambani Wedding
DJ Aqeel performed at the extravagant baraat, which had 13 stages. His performance was a non-stop marathon lasting four to five hours, along with several other top artists.
“The baraat had 13 stages, and I was on one of them. It was a lot of fun, a marathon performance with all the artists – you name them, they were there,” Aqeel shared. However, he wasn’t allowed to share any moments on social media due to a strict non-disclosure agreement (NDA) he had signed. “I signed an NDA saying that if I posted anything, they would sue me,” he revealed.
Sangeet Ceremonies of Saif-Kareena and Abhishek-Aishwarya
In addition to the Ambani wedding, Aqeel performed at the sangeet ceremonies of two famous Bollywood couples: Saif Ali Khan-Kareena Kapoor and Abhishek Bachchan-Aishwarya Rai. Each event had a unique vibe.
Saif and Kareena’s Intimate Sangeet
Dj Aqeel described Saif and Kareena’s sangeet as a small, intimate gathering with about 80 close family and friends at the Taj. “It was a private affair, just close friends and family. They both danced, and it was amazing,” he said.
Abhishek and Aishwarya’s Grand Celebration
In contrast, Abhishek and Aishwarya’s sangeet was a large-scale event at their Juhu home with a huge crowd. “It was a big party, with the whole world there,” Aqeel added.
A Personal Connection with Bollywood Stars
What made these events extra special for Aqeel was his long-standing friendship with these stars. Having grown up with them, his performances felt more like a friend performing for other friends, rather than just a hired artist.
