Delhi Police Recruitment: 8000 Vacancies to be Announced Soon

Good news for candidates waiting for a government job! Delhi Police is preparing to recruit around 8,000 new personnel. According to sources in Delhi Police, the official notification is expected to be released on June 16, 2025. The recruitment will include posts from Constable to Sub-Inspector (SI).
Recruitment Process Timeline
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will handle the recruitment process for these 8000 posts. As per reports, the recruitment process will run from June to September 2025. The training of selected candidates is planned to begin in 2026, with an aim to post them in active duty by 2027.
Current Staff Shortage in Delhi Police
Currently, there are only about 20,000 to 25,000 personnel deployed across 185 police stations in Delhi. Due to this shortage, managing crime in the city has become difficult. The Ministry of Home Affairs has now given permission to increase recruitment so that law enforcement in Delhi can be strengthened. Also read: The AI That Will Change How You See Videos Forever.
