Big Decision by AICWA: Full Ban on Turkey and Azerbaijan Over Support to Pakistan

Amid rising tension between India and Pakistan, the All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) has announced a complete boycott of Turkey and Azerbaijan. AICWA stated that both these countries have shown an anti-India attitude, and so the Indian film industry should stop all film-related work with them. AICWA called this decision a symbol of patriotism and national unity, and assured full support to the Indian government.

Strong Message to Indian Film Industry
AICWA has appealed to Bollywood and all regional film industries to not shoot films in Turkey or Azerbaijan. They have also asked filmmakers to avoid participating in any event or show sponsored by these countries. The association has clearly said that no collaboration should happen with any actor or financer from Turkey or Azerbaijan.
Warning of Strict Action
AICWA has warned that if any actor or producer breaks this boycott, strict action will be taken against them. Such people will face protests and criticism within the industry.
Public Support Requested
AICWA has also appealed to the Indian public to support this decision. They urged people to boycott the films, songs, and shows of those actors who ignore this ban.
Several Bollywood Films Already Shot in Turkey
As per media reports, many Bollywood films like Ek Tha Tiger, Race 2, Dil Dhadakne Do, Pathaan, and Laal Singh Chaddha have already been shot in Turkey.
Why the Boycott?
This boycott call came after Turkey and Azerbaijan showed support to Pakistan and even condemned India’s recent attacks on terror camps in Pakistan. Due to their support for Pakistan, many in India are also calling for a boycott of Turkish products and tourism.
