Delta Electronics, a Taiwan-based company, is investing $500 million to strengthen its presence in India, as part of the ‘Make in India’ initiative announced in 2015. A senior company official confirmed that this investment will enhance their operations in the country. Since entering India in 2003, Delta has been making substantial investments through its local branch. Benjamin Lin, President of Delta Electronics India, shared these details at the “Elecrama 2025” event in Greater Noida.

India is considered a key market for Delta Electronics, with the company focused on driving the country’s industrial and energy transformation through advanced solutions. At Elecrama 2025, Delta Electronics introduced its D-Bot series collaborative robots (Cobots), designed to enhance smart factory automation. These robots feature safety mechanisms that detect contact and reverse movement to prevent accidents, ensuring safe human-robot collaboration. Delta also unveiled its 240kW direct current fast EV charger, developed by the company’s India-based R&D and engineering teams. This dual-vehicle charging solution operates at 95% efficiency and offers wired/4G GSM connectivity for commercial applications, fleet operators, and public charging networks.
Delta’s Focus on Innovation at ELECRAMA 2025
Delta’s investment in India, announced in 2015 under the ‘Make in India’ initiative, continues to boost its operations and manufacturing capacity in the country. At Elecrama 2025, the company launched its D-Bot series Collaborative Robots, which have a payload capacity of up to 30 kg and speeds of 200 degrees per second. These robots are ideal for industries like electronics assembly, packaging, materials handling, and welding.
Additionally, Delta displayed its new 240kW DC Fast EV Charger and Industrial Power-protect Transformer-based UPS, further solidifying its commitment to energy conservation and the development of sustainable cities across India. Additionally, Delta is advancing EV Powertrain Solutions by offering compact, high-efficiency power solutions for electric two- and three-wheelers. These include On-Board Chargers (OBCM), DC/DC Converters, OBG, and EVCC products, which support bi-directional charging and V2X integration to improve EV functionality.
