Tata Harrier EV to Launch Soon with Over 500 km Range

Tata Motors is getting ready to launch the much-awaited electric version of the Harrier SUV in India. After being spotted multiple times during road tests and appearing at public events, the electric Harrier now seems close to production.
The first time people saw it was as a concept model at the Auto Expo, and later, it was showcased as a near-final version at BMGE 2025. Although Tata had earlier planned to launch the Harrier EV by the end of the last financial year, it looks like the launch will now happen during the upcoming festive season.
Before that, Tata will announce the prices of the Altroz facelift next week.
Expected Features and Specifications
While full technical details are still not out, early reports show that the Tata Harrier EV will offer a driving range of over 500 km on a single charge. It will likely come with a dual-motor setup—one motor in the front and one at the rear—making it an all-wheel-drive (AWD) SUV.
The electric SUV is also expected to deliver around 500 Nm of peak torque, giving it powerful performance. The Harrier EV may be powered by a 75 kWh lithium-ion battery, which will support fast charging, reducing waiting time during charging stops.
Tata may also offer a version with a smaller battery capacity to cater to different customer needs.
Built on Gen 2 EV Platform
The Harrier EV will be built on Tata’s Gen 2 EV platform, which is a modified version of the OMEGA Arc platform used in the regular Harrier. It will also share many parts and systems with the Tata Curvv EV, which was launched last year.
Smart Charging Features
Some standout features of the Harrier EV include Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) and Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) charging. These functions will let the car power external devices like laptops or even charge other electric vehicles, which is a big advantage.
The Harrier EV will be a 5-seater SUV with strong performance, modern features, and long driving range, making it a very promising option in India’s growing EV market.
