Tej Pratap Yadav Expelled from RJD for Six Years After Social Media Controversy
Tej Pratap Yadav, the son of RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav and a former minister in Bihar, has once again landed in controversy. He has been expelled from the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) for six years due to what the party described as “irresponsible behaviour” and ignoring moral values in his personal life.
This action came after a Facebook post went viral, where Tej Pratap claimed to be in a long-term relationship with a woman named Anushka Yadav. The post, which has now been deleted, had a photo of Tej Pratap with a young woman. In the caption, he wrote, “This is Anushka Yadav. We have known each other for 12 years. We are in love and have been in a relationship for 12 years.”
After the post created a stir, Tej Pratap claimed that his social media accounts had been hacked. He said someone was trying to defame and harass him and his family. He later posted a clarification in Hindi, saying, “My social media has been hacked. My photos are being misused. I request my supporters not to believe any rumours.”

However, his father, Lalu Prasad Yadav, did not accept the explanation. He said his son’s actions were against the values of the party and the family. In a strong statement, Lalu said, “His behaviour is damaging to our struggle for social justice. So, I am expelling him from the party and also breaking family ties. He will have no role in the party or the family for the next six years.”
This decision by Lalu Prasad Yadav came just months before the upcoming Bihar assembly elections.
Who is Anushka Yadav?
Not much is known about Anushka Yadav. She appears to keep a low profile and is not seen in public life. After Tej Pratap’s viral post, people became curious about her. According to some reports, her family lives in Langartoli, Patna, and her father’s name is Manoj Yadav.
Earlier, Tej Pratap had appointed a man named Akash Yadav to a party position. But RJD state president Jagdanand Singh removed him and replaced him with Gagan Yadav. After this, Akash left Tej Pratap’s side and joined hands with political rival Pashupati Paras.
Tej Pratap’s Marriage with Aishwarya Rai
Tej Pratap was earlier married to Aishwarya Rai, the granddaughter of former Bihar Chief Minister Daroga Rai. Their wedding took place in 2018 in a grand ceremony. But the marriage didn’t last long. Aishwarya left Tej Pratap’s house soon after the wedding, saying she was forced out by her husband and his family.
Her father, Chandrika Roy, who was also a minister, quit RJD and said he would support his daughter in her legal and political battle. The divorce case between Tej Pratap and Aishwarya is still going on in a Patna family court. Both sides have accused each other of several things.
