Netflix and Amazon Prime Video Announce Big Changes for Users Starting June 2025

Another major update is coming from Amazon Prime Video, especially for Indian users. From 17 June 2025, ads will start appearing between web shows and movies on Prime Video.
Amazon said that if users want to watch content without any ads, they will need to pay an extra amount in addition to their current Prime subscription.
Amazon had already been testing this ad-tier model in India for some time. Now, it is being officially rolled out. This clearly shows that streaming services are starting to follow a TV-like model, where there are both ad-free and ad-supported packages.
