India Sends All-Party Delegations Abroad After Operation Sindoor

Congress MP Shashi Tharoor, who recently faced criticism from his party for praising the central government after Operation Sindoor, will now lead an all-party delegation to different countries. This delegation will take India’s strong message of zero-tolerance against terrorism to the world.
According to sources, each delegation will visit about five countries. The tour will start on May 23 and is expected to last for 10 days. As reported by ANI, the MPs are likely to travel to important world capitals like the United States, United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, South Africa, and Japan.
This is the first time that the Indian government has included MPs from multiple political parties in such a diplomatic mission to present a unified national stand on Kashmir and cross-border terrorism from Pakistan.
Union Minister Kiren Rijiju, who is managing the planning for this international outreach, posted on X:
“In moments that matter most, Bharat stands united. Seven All-Party Delegations will soon visit key partner nations, carrying our shared message of zero tolerance to terrorism. A powerful reflection of national unity above politics, beyond differences.” @rsprasad @Shashi Tharoor.

Background: Operation Sindoor and India-Pakistan Tensions
India launched Operation Sindoor on May 7 after the deadly terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 22, in which 26 people were killed. The Indian armed forces attacked nine terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) and killed over 100 terrorists from groups like Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM), and Hizbul Mujahideen.
Following India’s action, Pakistan retaliated with missiles and drones, targeting the western region of India. However, the Indian side intercepted them and responded with precise strikes on selected military targets inside Pakistan.
After four days of military exchanges, both countries agreed to a ceasefire on May 10 to stop further escalation.
