Viral Divorce News: Is It True?
Since this morning, a news story has been going viral on social media, claiming that Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and his wife, choreographer Dhanashree, have officially separated. The report said their divorce was finalized in Bandra Court, Mumbai, on February 20. But is this true, or just a rumor?

Dhanashree’s Lawyer Clarifies the Matter
In response to the rumors, Dhanashree’s lawyer, Advocate Aditi Mohani, spoke to Bombay Times and cleared up the confusion. She stated, “The matter is still pending in court. The media should verify facts before publishing, as a lot of misleading information is being spread.” This statement makes it clear that the news about their divorce is not entirely true.
The 60 Crore Alimony Claim
Some reports also claimed that Yuzvendra Chahal had given Dhanashree an alimony of Rs 60 crore as part of their divorce. This shocked many, but a family member of Dhanashree, who wished to remain anonymous, denied the claim. The family member said, “We are deeply hurt by these false rumors. No alimony has been asked for or given. This is completely untrue. The media should report responsibly and avoid spreading rumors that disturb someone’s personal life.” Also: Abhinav Chandrachud, lawyer for Ranveer Allahbadia, expresses disgust to Supreme Court.
Their Marriage in 2020
Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma got married in December 2020. Their relationship was loved by fans, and their chemistry was often praised on social media. However, in recent months, rumors of trouble in their relationship had been circulating. Still, neither Yuzvendra nor Dhanashree has publicly commented on the current status of their marriage.
Media Responsibility in the Age of Social Media
In today’s world of social media, news spreads quickly, but we must remember that some of it is unverified. In such cases, it’s best to trust official statements rather than believing in rumors.
